The weekday walks began in 1992 and continue to be well supported by its regulars, as well as frequent newcomers.
All members of the Club and guests are welcome
The aim is to walk each week, alternating between Tuesdays and Thursdays. Members meet at the starting point of the walk. Walking usually starts at 10.30 a.m. Walkers typically arrive by 10.15 a.m. to allow time to put on boots and use toilets if necessary. The leader chooses the venue for the walk and details are circulated to members by email, as well as on this web site. Transport is typically by car; members car sharing where practical. Often, public transport is used. Walks take place in the Lancashire Hills, South Lakes, Cheshire, Wirral, North Wales and much closer to home, particularly in winter months.
Walks are about 5 -7 miles in length. A packed lunch is taken and members usually enjoy tea and cake (sometimes a pint) after the walk.
Details of walks will be emailed and will be on the web site nearer the time.
Please contact the leader if you intend to join a walk
