Towards the end of 1944 when the second world war was heading towards an allied victory, a number of local men and women decided to start a rambling and social club. As some had taken advantage of Countrywide Holidays Association (CHA) holidays prior to the war, and had enjoyed the camaraderie and social atmosphere, they decided to form Crosby CHA Club, affiliated to CHA.

These humble beginning have seen the Crosby club develop over the years bringing many happy hours to our numerous members.

 A decision was made by the Club to change its name to Crosby Rambling Club, but the ethics and objectives remain the same. The Club  celebrated its 80th Anniversary in October 2024.
